Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! Its 2013 already and I can’t believe how fast time flies!

Last year I make a single resolution and it’s proven to be the right formula for me and this year I’ll be making another resolution, just one resolution. Last year on the eve of New Year I promised to myself to quick smoking, and I did! From that day till now, it's has been a whole year without smoking, although I’m sad to say that on few occasions I was forced to inhale the second hand smoke but that was out of my control, and yes finally I understand the feeling of non-smoker much better now.

This year I’m aiming to get back into shape. My aim is to be able to run 10 km under 40 minutes before this year ended. It’s not much to ask for so I think I’ll be able to score on this one. I’m confident!

Okay now that I've settled on my new year resolution it’s kind of anti climax to just stop here so I’ll add few more small things that I’ll try to accomplish. These small things is to be my everyday check-list so technically it is not a New Year thingy but rather than things that I will try to do every day for the rest of this year:
  • I will pray and thanking God for everything happening in my life.
  • I will say ‘I love you’ to my wife and son every day.
  • I’m going to be a ‘glass-half-full’ kind of person.
  • I will be more courageous and confidence to face new challenge.
  • I will be not afraid to make new mistake, but not repeating mine or the mistake of others.

Finally, to complete this post, I would share a quote that I found very inspiring:

“I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.

Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're Doing Something.

So that's my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody's ever made before. Don't freeze, don't stop, don't worry that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.

Whatever it is you're scared of doing, Do it.

Make your mistakes, next year and forever.”
